For all of you soon to be dads out there here is some free advise. When you go to those baby classes, pay attention! You never know when that information will be your responsibility.
Micah and I have spent the last 7 nights together and I am still sane. He has already set up a schedule for me (he is so much like his mom) and he eats at 2:30, 5:30, and 8:30 every morning. So I get to pretend I am sleeping in between these times. I used to be such a sound sleeper but now every grunt, hiccup, burp, or chirp and I am wide awake.
Micah went to the doctor yesterday and is up to 8 lbs 8 ozs. For those of you keeping track that is 10 ozs in 13 days. So he is excelling at the three jobs he has; eating, sleeping, and pooping.
The realization of Kathy's passing is starting to set in. If you are reading this then I have a favor to ask of you. Go find your loved ones and tell them that you love them. Do this every day! You don't truly understand how important someone is until they are gone. Next to God, time with loved ones is the most important thing, always remember that .

Nathan,
Micah is absolutley gorgous(prob not spelled right)I can't wait to meet him in person. I'm sure he already has his daddy wrapped around his little finger. Thank you so much for sharing him with all of us who love you, Kathy and Micah so much. Our prayers are with you and if you need anything especially a babysitter you know where to find us. Lots of Love Mike and Kim
Nathan, thank you so much for posting this. You and Micah have been in my thoughts daily and it is good to know you are doing well. You will be a wonderful father, I can tell this by the way you helped Joseph in guitar class! He really needed the help,LOL! Always in our prayers,
Karen Ewing
Micah has already changed so much from his pictures in the hospital! We can't wait to hang out with you guys! We'll wait until you are ready for company though ... I'm sure you're bombarded with family & visitors still. We're here if you need anything. Until then, you & Micah will be in our prayers!
Nathan,
Micah is beautiful and we knew that he would be! I have pretended to sleep before also, so anything you need or want, anytime day or night I am just a call away. You are in my prayers daily and hope to be able to see you both soon. Austin said he gave you a offer for a free babysitting, whenever you're ready, he is excited to do that for you. Love Sue
Nathan, I do not know you, but I am praying for you and your family as if I have known you. I am sorry that you have suffered such a loss, yet it's a beautiful thing to read what you have shared as you experience getting to know your son. I know that Kathy must look down and smile every time Micah is in your arms.
I pray that God will do a mighty thing in your lives and turn this tragedy into something good. May every sad moment be encountered with a glimpse of hope and joy. My prayers are with you today.
Blessings, Traci
